What Makes Clayton Yoga Unique

Clayton yoga started nearly 13 years ago!  Hard to imagine, our little yoga studio has served the Clayton community for over 13 years. In the Beginning Clayton yoga, began with a vision to bring greater peace, joy, and support for the local Clayton and St. Louis residents. Yoga is accessible for all types, backgrounds, and levels. Our style of yoga, Vinyasa yoga, began in 2003 and has never changed. The founder of Clayton yoga, Michelle Maue, has trained for many years with nationally recognized Vinyasa yoga instructors, including Johnny Kest, Sean corn, and Anna Forest.

Beginning in 2003, as one of the smallest yoga studios in St. Louis, Clayton Yoga has gone on to teach internationally 3 times, graduate over 550 yoga teachers around the world, and present 13 weekly corporate yoga classes for over 6 years!

Never despise the days of small beginnings.  This was quote once heard in a Baron Baptiste yoga workshop!  Some of the greatest accomplishments began with small beginning footprints. Jesus referred to having the Mustard Seed approach to faith.  And many times, when given a little power, we are tested, to see what we will do with that kind of energy.

What also makes Clayton Yoga studio so unique is the small size of our classes.

Every yoga class has no more than eight students per class. This is small, intimate setting allows every student an accelerated practice for joy, while minimizing injury and harm. Practicing yoga in a small setting is a confidence boost. It is much easier to approach the yoga instructor after class and ask individual questions own unique style.

What ever level or background, Clayton Yoga believes you can practice yoga. In reaching students, we service all level yoga classes from beginning to advanced.  We make every yoga class inclusive, supportive and fun. All new and older students are equally welcome to Clayton Yoga.  Clayton Yoga also boasts some of the nicest students too!

Because of our small size, we also put together take home yoga sequences and empower our students to practice daily.  Regular practice improves sleep, workplace motivation, and overall life balance and joy.  We encourage new students to start slowly and also offer private one-to one sessions for individuals or couples learning to excel and wanting to ask more questions during the yoga session!  Clayton Yoga has taught high profile St. Louis clients privately, Harvard graduates, and St. Louis Rams football players.  Will you be our next student? We hope so!

The Vinyasa style of yoga at Clayton Yoga is truly a style for everyone. This is easily adapted for every ability level and there is a wonderful balance between asanas (poses) and movement. You will find each class refreshing and never boring in my own experience. My favorite class is Saturday mornings with Michelle. It simply sets the mood for the rest of my weekend and I enjoy every moment.

I truly believe that Clayton Yoga is unique among other studios due to its personable atmosphere. Michelle really takes the time to get to know her clients on a personal basis, helping them reach their goals and aspirations. This isn’t a regular yoga studio, it is a yoga studio with years of training and expertise customized to serve you as the customer.
