Practice Yoga At Any Age

flower-170422_640There is really no age limit to practicing and teaching yoga. So many inspiring yoga practitioners and instructors who still enjoy yoga’s benefits in their 70s, 80s and even above 90 years old. We gathered a few videos to share the spirit of yoga at any age!

Transformation through yoga can happen at any age

Janet Rae Humphrey’s life was totally transformed by yoga after she began practicing at the age of 58. She went from multiple medical problems to the best physical and mental shape of her life. She got Yoga Alliance certified at the age of 66 and now teaches students aged 8 to 92. Watch her transformation plus 3 of her 90(+) year-old students sharing why they love yoga in this short video:

 

There is nothing you cannot do

Tao Porchon-Lynch, Master Yoga teacher is 95 years young and was named as the oldest active yoga teacher of the world by Guinness World Records in 2012. She has over 70 years of yoga practice and more than 45 years of teaching yoga to students in India, France and the U.S.

Amazing vitality

Bette Calman has been teaching yoga for fifty years, and shows no signs of slowing down. At 84 years of age, her yoga moves may leave most of us feeling just a bit out of shape. Check out this inspiring video of Bette who is sometimes referred to as the Yoga Super Gran.
