Q#1) What is the benefit of taking this style of course and am I ready for this intensive style of a training course?

The greatest benefit of this course is that your program begins the first day you sign up!  Within 1-2 business days, you will receive your first welcome packet and marketing materials.  The information is sent to you on via email and includes over 35 pages of beautifully written articles about the power of breathing, stretching and living your yoga.  In addition to receiving your first packet, you will also later receive a 200 page teacher training manual which covers all of yoga and includes easy to follow exercises at home.  The course includes 3 one hour Skype calls which at no additional cost to you, will provide you with valuable details and easy to follow homework assignments.  The material is presented to you in a step by step manner, so that you will be able to accomplish the more difficult postures and sequences in no time.  We will provide you with very easy to follow gentle routines, and even send you one fabulous music CD and one Yoga Talk, given by Dr. Andrew Weil, which discusses the amazing benefits of breathing!!  Soon you will undertand the phenomenal power that Vinyasa yoga has in its ability to reach all different levels of students at the same time.

Q#2) Will there be time for other activities?  What is a typical day for this yoga schedule? Do I have time to do other things while I am here on this beautiful island of Grenada?

Each day, our course begins at 7am giving you plenty of time for an early cup of coffee and some nice notetaking on your own personal veranda overlooking the ocean or perhaps a quick dip in the sea.  Each day, we enjoy a nice long lunch break (90 minutes) followed by a one hour yoga nidra in the early afternoon.  Yoga Nidra is a yogic practice that places the body into savasana and allows us to completely rest the mind and give each practitioner time to settle into full, complete and relaxed meditation.  We begin again after Yoga Nidra with the afternoon’s session and are free to pursue our own activities each day at 5pm.  Please note that you will receive homework materials to review in your room or enjoy while you walk into town and/or jump in the ocean.  We highly recommend that you also take part in the outside yoga training activities, such as kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, bicycle riding, attending a local fish fry, or enjoying some of the local cuisine in town and on the beach.

Q#3) What style of yoga is taught at this Yoga Teacher Training Course held at Laluna in Grenada, West Indies?

The style of yoga taught is Vinyasa.  Vinyasa is the fastest growing style of yoga and combines both breath and movement.  In this course, you will gain the correct instruction to help support yourself and other students.  We employ three main ideas which are breathing, approaching your edge, and staying calm.
