Jackie McFadden, Clayton Yoga’s Hall of Fame Featured Yoga Teacher Graduate!

Jackie McFadden, (featured far right in photograph) a graduate of Clayton Yoga’s teacher training and 200 hour RYT with Yoga Alliance, began sharing her yoga practice with others in August 2013. Her goal and focus during and after training was to offer a more quiet, meditative, yet nourishing yoga practice to the community. Let’s take an inside peek into Jackie McFadden’s experience following her graduation with Clayton Yoga Teacher Training. Looking back on her days with Clayton Yoga teacher training, Jackie is most appreciative for the added confidence and courage she received to step in front of a large audience and group. She says, “I knew what to do and I had plenty of expertise doing it, I just needed that added push Clayton Yoga Teacher Training offered”. As she witnesses how her clients heal and grow physically, mentally and spiritually using a variety of energy modalities, Jackie continues to explore new opportunities in trying to create a healing, inspiring, and supportive environment for all clients regardless of age, abilities, and experience.

Jackie also found the Clayton Yoga International anatomy helpful and resources such as yoga videos inspiring to watch, something she claims helped her plant the right seed. She understood from watching the yoga trainer, that everybody has their own individual yoga postures and that there never is a one size fits all. Finding inspiration to teach with passion provides her students to really make a difference and to help others. She finds that yoga has provided a multitude of benefits to her clientele including better quality sleep, higher recovery time, more flexible bodies and minds and a healthier even mood throughout the week.

Jackie loves to provide much needed quiet time for her students. Her Clayton Yoga training, besides providing the essentials (anatomy, sequencing, practice routines, etc.) gave her the confidence and inspiration to transition from being a yoga student (for over 25 years) to becoming a mindful yoga instructor, providing a safe, gentle practice for all of her clients.

She currently offers two restorative yoga practices each week. Since her training, Jackie has also offered several “mini-retreats” and shared this practice with local pre-school and grade school classes, as well as being invited to participate in a women’s group retreat weekend. Jackie also offers private, one-on-one sessions.

Many of her clients, after practicing a regular schedule of restorative yoga, realize they have more energy, sleep better, feel less stress and actually use many of the learned breath techniques and restorative poses outside of practice on a daily basis. As Patanjali reminds us, “Yoga is the practice of quieting the mind.”

Jackie ha been a student of Reiki since 2007 and a Reiki Master since 2010. To find out more about Jackie McFadden and her awesome yoga classes, please click here: http://insyncmindbodytherapycenter.com/index.html.

I really liked reading about Jackie because she is a perfect example of someone who applied her learning toward creating a successful career. She is inspirational especially in the way she branched out into the various types of yoga practices and made those her own.
